Construction Manager
Primary Role : Manage the technical contractual scope of the project and functionally lead the project construction team Responsibilities • Oversee and direct construction projects from conception to completion • Direct and coordinate activities required to achieve safety and environmental compliance in accordance with established contracts, agreements, policies, laws and procedures • Review the project in-depth to schedule deliverables and estimate costs • Coordinate and direct construction workers and subcontractors reviewing work progress on a daily basis • Meet contractual conditions of performance ensuring quality construction standards and the use of proper construction techniques • Prepare internal and external reports pertaining to job status • Plan with foresight to prevent problems and resolve any emerging issues in order to limit delays • Analyze, manage and mitigate risks as they arise during the process Knowledge/Experience Requirements: • A minimum of 5 years but preferably 10+ years’ experience in railway signalling engineering • Proven working experience in construction management • Advanced knowledge of construction management processes, means and methods • Expert knowledge of building products, construction details and relevant rules, regulations and quality standards • Understanding of all facets of the construction process • Familiarity with construction management software packages • Competent in conflict and crisis management including leadership/management skills • Excellent time and project management skills • BS degree in construction management, architecture, engineering or related field • 10+ years overseeing mining, wellfield and/or processing construction activities • An excellent safety track record including familiarity with federal, state and local regulatory agencies as well as EHS standards
Salary - AUD 75,000 to AUD 125,000
